| Job Description: |
| A progressive company specializing in the design and installation of building automation and AV systems is looking for suitable candidates to fill the following position: Job Title: Draftsman Reports to: Design Engineer Core Responsibilities:
-
Draft detailed CAD working drawings, layout plans, elevations and sections, wiring diagrams, as required for instructions to installation crew.

Draw master sketches to scale showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities and exact specifications and dimensions.

Visit proposed installation sites and draw rough sketches of location.
-
Prepare variations of design as per requirement of the Technical Team.

Support the design department and contract managers with necessary drawings from concept to handover.

Continue to develop and maintain company’s AutoCAD drafting program.

Continue to develop and maintain a compressive archive/library of pertinent AutoCAD based plans and drawing components for the purpose of streamlining drawing preparation.
Performance Parameters:
-
Should be proficient with 2 dimensional AutoCAD design and drafting.
-
Should be able to work independently under minimal supervision.
-
Should be able to complete projects under a tight deadline without compromising quality.
-
Should have excellent management skills with drawings and revisions.
-
Should have good communication skills and computer knowledge.
-
Should have attention to detail with good logical reasoning.
Prerequisites:
-
Should be qualified as a certified AutoCAD draftsman.
-
Should have 1-2 years of experience in 2D design and portfolio of completed projects.
-
Knowledge of 3Dmax or other 3D design software will be an advantage.
-
Experience with drafting of electrical drawings will be an advantage.
