| Job Description:
- Monitoring the health of network infrastructure.
- Diagnosis of escalated network issues working with various stakeholders such as Engineering team, field support team, upstream and LDIs
- Escalating issues to Escalation Engineers follow-up on the issue for closure via Email / Phone correspondence
Job Responsibilities:
- Regular monitoring basic diagnosis of network related issues and drive them to closure
- Proactively identify, diagnose, analyze and troubleshoot issues with IP/Data/MPLS VPN Customers
- Diagnosing and resolving faults
- Build and test new managed hardware devices
- Able to identify and make recommendations for improvements to processes
- Providing a role model for others in the team through professional behavior and technical expertise
- Document issues and solutions into central repository
- Willing to work in shifts in a 247 environment
- Change Control Form Creation
- Detailed Syslog analysis.
Job Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in Networking Industry. Customer facing experience is an advantage
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or similar
- Understanding of technology like VLSM, Static routing, OSPF, BGP, RIP, MPLS, Metro Ethernet, Layer2 switching, tunneling protocols etc.
- Certifications: CCNA/CCNP RS preferred
- Networking: OSI Layer, Knowledge of Switches, Routers, LAN (Switching), WAN (GRE), TCP/IP Suite UDP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team Player with positive mental attitude
- Excellent analytical and problems solving skills
- Hard working, focused and result-oriented personality required
- Able to handle work independently with minimal supervision
- Expertise on Linux/Unix will be preferred.
- Preferably from an ISP or TAC background.
